Microblading vs the machine hair-stroke method – the differences
Author: Tsvety Bita, permanent makeup specialist

What is microblading?
Microblading is a manual technique that implants pigment into the skin through a nano-incision. The pigment is applied only in the uppermost layer of the skin – the epidermis. With microblading the hair strokes are extremely fine and natural-looking, following the growth of your natural brow hairs. The colour is chosen to be as close as possible to the natural colour of your brows, whatever the colour of your hair.
What is the machine hair-stroke method?
The machine hair-stroke method is a technique that implants pigment into the skin through vibration and tapping. The work is done only in the epidermis. The hair strokes are slightly thicker than with microblading. The end result is a defined but natural-looking brow. The colour is chosen to be as close as possible to the natural colour of your brows, whatever the colour of your hair.

Longevity
Both techniques are best refreshed once a year; for some skin types, after 10 months. Whichever of the two you choose, the longevity is the same. The pigments we use are from the same brand – BIOTEK Italy. If you decide not to maintain your brows, the pigments are fully broken down by the skin in about 2 years.
