Areola micropigmentation is a specialised camouflage treatment that can visually restore colour, shape and a three-dimensional effect after surgery. The approach must be gentle, individual and in line with your medical recovery.

When the treatment can be discussed

The tissue must be fully healed and your doctor must have confirmed that pigmentation can be carried out. The type of surgery, scars, radiotherapy, sensitivity and blood circulation all matter.

We do not work over an active infection, an open wound, severe inflammation or tissue that is still changing. Sometimes more time is needed than the client expects.

  • Written or clear medical clearance where needed.
  • Fully closed and calm tissue.
  • A discussion of sensitivity and previous treatment.

How the shape and 3D effect are created

In a one-sided reconstruction, the existing areola can serve as a guide for size, shape and colour. In a two-sided reconstruction, the design takes into account the anatomy, scars and your preferences.

The three-dimensional effect is built with a combination of lighter and darker shades, texture and soft edges. The aim is visual depth, not a flat single-colour circle.

  • An individual palette of several shades.
  • A soft, irregular outline.
  • Taking scars and relief into account.
  • Approval of the size and position in advance.

Working with scar tissue

Scars may be firmer, thinner or have a different blood supply. They take up pigment unevenly and sometimes require work in stages and an additional touch-up.

It is not safe to promise complete coverage. The aim is visual softening and a more harmonious look within the possibilities of the specific tissue.

  • Uneven retention is possible.
  • The colour is assessed after full healing.
  • More pressure does not mean better retention.

Aftercare and a supportive approach

The instructions for cleansing, protection and clothing must be followed exactly. Friction, sweating and pressure on the area can irritate the healing skin.

This is a sensitive treatment, and communication must respect personal boundaries. The client has the right to a break, a companion within the studio's conditions, and a detailed explanation of every step.

  • Gentle care without harsh products.
  • Loose, clean clothing according to the instructions.
  • Contact your doctor if there is an unusual reaction.
  • Confidentiality and informed consent.

Important: The treatment is planned only after full surgical recovery and, where necessary, with clearance from your doctor.

Frequently asked questions

Can the treatment be done right after surgery?

No. The tissue must be fully healed and your doctor must confirm the right time.

How realistic can the result be?

With several shades and texture, a convincing visual 3D effect can be created, but the result depends on the tissue and the scars.

Is a touch-up needed?

Often, yes, because scar tissue can hold pigment unevenly. The decision is made after healing.

The most accurate recommendation is made after an individual consultation and an assessment of your skin, natural hairs, shape and desired result.
